What we're about

It is frustratingly difficult to find a woman owned or woman led service provider. Yet, women make up more than half of the U.S. population and control or influence 85% of consumer spending (Forbes, 2019). We need change!

In an effort to empower and provide opportunities for women, we’ve created a women’s business directory that allows you to diversify your vendors. Our mission is to elevate women across industries and make it easier for you to find vetted professionals, all while celebrating connection and community.

Meet Our FoundHER

Shannon has spent a lot of time in the C-suite as the president and CEO of the Oklahoma Hall of Fame in addition to leadership roles at the Women’s College World Series, John Q. Hammons Hotels, and The Downtown Club.

Shannon is a 5th generation Oklahoman, graduate of Oklahoma City University and holds an Executive Women in Leadership certificate from Cornell University.

She has been recognized as one of Oklahoma’s “Most Admired CEOs,” is a three-time honoree and inductee of the Circle of Excellence for the Journal Record’s “50 Making a Difference” and a member of “Achievers Under 40.” She served as a delegate for the White House Conference on Women and also as a host committee member for Governor’s Conference for Women.

She’s long been an advocate for equity in the workplace, and has built LeadHERboard to advocate for just that.

Public Speaking

Shannon is a seasoned public speaker, traveling around the country helping women leverage their network and climb the corporate ladder all while showing the value of equity in the workplace. She is a popular women’s conference speaker comfortable with audiences from a single classroom to large theaters and ballrooms.

I couldn't believe how fast the time went by. I could have listened to the speakers for at least another hour.

I truly enjoyed the history of Title IX and Patsy Mink provided by Christian. I was moved by Dr. Woods and appreciated her story in especially the context of Title IX.

After hearing the story of Patsy Mink, I was reminded how important a single voice is in creating change. It was helpful that the speakers gave us real action items to take back to our schools and community.

So great! Thank you for putting this topic back in the forefront. I needed the reminder that the law is just the beginning and we need to keep our eye on the ball.

When I heard the theme, I thought it was going to be an entertaining lunch and we would learn about a quirky Oklahoma-Hawaii connection to Title IX. I had no idea I would be educated, inspired, and armed for the battle to take on preserving Title IX.
